The life sized bronze sculptureby famous sculptor Tony Cipriano was unveiled and dedicated  in Historic Downtown Dodge City. There was a public dedication of the statue at that time attended by GUNSMOKE fans from everywhere including  stuntman Ben Bates, and sculptor Tony Cipriano.

Ben was honored with a surprise presentation of a medallion on the

DODGE CITY TRAIL OF FAME!

the invitation to appear

as a guest

at their 2018 event.  He, along with friend and colleague  GLENN STRANGE recieved plagues on the Little Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Their families accepted the  plaques in their honor at the event

 Exciting news to share!

I'm reaching out to all of Ben's friends, fans and the people we've met in our travels, to share our happiness.

Ben has been chosen to be inducted into the very prestigious Rodeo Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City! 

 The ceremony took place in November, and we have memories to share right here1
 
Ben is so richly deserving of this honor, and the only way it could have been made any better, would have been if he were still here to accept it himself.

As we were headed out the door to Rex Allen Days,

we were shocked and saddened by the news that Ben had passed away during the night.

He was such a wonderful man...and his family is stellar.
